How to implement source into project...?

Dec 30, 2009 at 4:26 PM

I'm writing a simple VB.NET app, and I know I can use the ILMerge utility to integrate the DLL into my .EXE -- however, I intend on having quite a few releases, and just wanted to know if there's a way to implement the DLL into my app. I'm still relatively new to programming in .NET so it's more an exercise in practice as well, so if anybody can give me a heads-up I'd really appreciate it.

What does that mean - "implement the DLL into your app"?

Do you want to compile the source?  There's a readme that covers some of this, but .. pretty much you download the source, then compile it.

You're on your own as far as structuring a solution that includes the source.

If you're new to .NET, you probably don't want to compile the source.  Unless you have a real good reason, it doesn't make sense to compile it yourself.
