Hi

Is there any size limitation to zip archive a file using DotNetZip library.currently I am using ionic.zip.dll version of 1.9.1.9000.

when I am trying to cerate self-extracting exe from 400mb size files, the self-extracting exe is successfully created but when trying to run that exe I am getting error and even tring to extract contents, it is failing.

I am getting the error as

Exception while resetting size : Ionic.ZipException Can not read that as a zip file.

Hope resolution to this issue soon

With Regards

Hi,

I've had problems with self-extracting zips that exceed the size windows allows for executables.  In my experience on a 32 bit machine an executable can be no bigger than 2 GB.  On a 64 bit machine I believe it's 4 GB... at least that's what I can surmise from some testing I've done.  Here's a link that can explain things better than me.  http://coding.derkeiler.com/Archive/Delphi/borland.public.delphi.non-technical/2005-04/msg00522.html

Hope it helps,
