in dev environment its very easy to add DotNetZip library to my project : i simply add a reference via visual studio

in production however(no visual studio) i copied Ionic.Zip.Reduced.dll to BIN folder . now this does not work, when i try to create a zip file , the popup message "Message from webpage" --> "convert completed!" pops up, but the zip file is never created.

on dev, i do not see the dll file in the GAC, i also dont find any registry entries (except the 'recent') entries.

how do i install this dll into a Windows 2008 Server environment please?

edit:  i managed to get a 2008 server with VS on, and tried it out by adding reference, still the same message "Convert Completed". how can i find out which other assemblies are missing on a default 2008 server instance in order to use this dll?

ok, on development environment, i had to follow the examples that were used in the DotNetZipLib-DevKit-v1.9 zipfile / under examples

it works now
