Zipping c:\users\myusername\documents

I’m writing an open source project in c# to back up a user’s profile and I’m using the Iconic Zip Library. I’m trying to zip (In Windows 7) C:\users\Username\Documents and when I do I get an System.UnauthorizedAccessException exception. The problem appears to be with hidden shortcuts in the folder to music, video and pictures. Even in windows if I double click them as an admin they come up with an access denied error. The documents folder is zipped as far down as music and then the error occurs and bombs out. Is there a way to get it to exclude these files or to skip them on error. I set zip.ZipErrorAction = ZipErrorAction.Skip; but that didn’t help. If you could shed some light on this I would really appreciate the help. This is the last problem I’m having and when I fix it I can put up my project. If you can’t help thanks for the time you spent reading this post
