ECCN number

Because we would like to use DotNetZip in our product, we are collecting the information needed to export it to others.

In order to this, could you tell me what the U.S Export Control Classification Number (ECCN) for DotNetZip is, and whether a license exception may be used for it ?

I don't know that stuff.

I'm not a lawyer.

Thanks Cheeso,

We would like to know the information about the cryptographic algorithms implemented in DotNetZip.
The information are the names of the cryptographic algorithm and the key lengths.

Could you tell me it ?

Yes, all of this is written up in the documentation.  DotNetZip uses the AES / Rijndael algorithm, in key lengths of 128 or 256 bits.

It also uses the "Zip 2.0 classic" encryption, which isn't very good encryption at all.  Because of that I doubt that Zip Classic encryption is covered by export-control treaties.
