Date/Time string in Zipit command line

Dec 15, 2009 at 3:39 PM

I tried the command: zipit test.zip -D "c:\program files\zipit "mtime > 2009-12-13:10:30 AND name = *.*"

Zipit returns:  Exception: System.formatException: String was not recognized as a valid DateTime.

This example looks like the examples in the documentation, and I can't see what I am doing wrong.  Using: "mtime > 2009-12-13 AND name = *.*" works OK, so the problem is me trying to add the time.

Can you see what I am doing wrong?

The format is YYYY-MM-DD-HH:mm:ss , and you can't skip any parts.

Use a dash to separate the day from the hour (you used a colon), and don't forget to include the seconds.

I think maybe you want:  "mtime > 2009-12-13-10:30:00 AND name = *.*"

Does the documentation show the use of this form?  "mtime > 2009-12-13:10:30"   If so, please point me to the page; I need to fix that.

Thanks Cheeso for the prompt reply.  Yes, the documentation shows on page 3, in the Examples of Selection Criteria table, example 3, a use of the colon connector.  In the documentation narative, it specifies the correct form of syntax, but in my old age, it looked just like the example in the table.

Thanks again for all your work on this product.

Thank you - I'll get that fixed.
