DotNetZip and long paths

Apr 11 at 8:29 AM
I am currently using the latest stable release of DotNetZip (DotNetZip.Reduced.1.9.1.8).
I need to create zip files from files where the fully qualified path / filename are long (over 300 characters in total), but keep hitting an exception telling me that

"The specified path, file name, or both are too long. The fully qualified file name must be less than 260 characters, and the directory name must be less than 248 characters.".

Is there any way I can use this product to zip up files/directories with long fully qualified paths without hitting an exception? Shortening the paths is not an option.

Thanks,
Stephen

I have same problem. Why you do not use Unicode version of functions and path with \?\ prefix.
