I'm encountering a problem with DotNetZip version 220.127.116.11 library trying to zip a big number of files, resulting in a zip file 8 gigabyte large, running on a Windows 2003 server with 2 processor and 4 gigabyte of ram.
The out of memory exception occurs near the end of the process, when memory occupation progressively reachs 1,7 gigabyte of ram.
With an old version of DotNetZip the process was a lot slower but successfull. Any advice?
Here is the code (I tried any combination of options A, B and C):
Ionic.Zip.ZipFile zipFile = new Ionic.Zip.ZipFile();
if ((tbCompressedTargetPassword.Text != null) && (tbCompressedTargetPassword.Text != ""))
zipFile.Password = tbCompressedTargetPassword.Text;
zipFile.ParallelDeflateThreshold = -1; // OPTION A
zipFile.CodecBufferSize = 32736; // OPTION B
zipFile.MaxOutputSegmentSize = 1024 * 1024 * 1024; // OPTION C
zipFile.UseZip64WhenSaving = Ionic.Zip.Zip64Option.Always;
zipFile.ZipErrorAction = Ionic.Zip.ZipErrorAction.Skip;
zipFile.AddProgress += AddProgress;
zipFile.SaveProgress += SaveProgress;
Thank you in advance for you help!
