License Issue

Is the zlib code part of the DLL? If that is the case, there is an attribution clause in its license that must be followed. The FAQ on the front page does not clearly state this requirement.

could you clarify what you mean, exactly?

What does "must be followed" mean?  Are you asking for a change in the FAQ, and if so, what change, exactly?

The license for Zlib ( ) has this clause:


2. Redistributions in binary form must reproduce the above copyright 
    notice, this list of conditions and the following disclaimer in 
    the documentation and/or other materials provided with the distribution.


So, I assume that clause has to followed when distributing the DotNetZip library DLL.

I don't think it's OK to "re-license" the code with MS-PL without saying it contains code with a different license that comes with obligations.

OK I think you are correct. I will be sure to change the binary distributions.
