File deleted if incorrect password

Feb 7, 2011 at 1:44 PM

love the utility, but i have just come across something im not sure about and wonder if you can help plz.

i extract files from an archive (created using the dotnetzip library) as below:

e.ExtractWithPassword(INI.CommonPath, ExtractExistingFileAction.OverwriteSilently, "bob2")

however if the password used to extract is incorrect, it seems to delete the original file before throwing a BadPasswordException instead of leaving the original file as it was. - i.e if a wrong password is used i want the original kept 'as-is'

Is this me & have i missed something, or is there a 'CanExtract' property somewhere i can firstly test?. ive had a good look around and cant seem to find info on this

many thanks

ok, this problem is fixed;  The fix will first be available in the v1.9.1.8 release.
