Lib file?

Hi. I am interested in using this library in VC++ and was wondering if there was a .lib file that I missed in one of the downloads? Thanks in advance and sorry if this is a stupid question. <_<

If you are using C++/CLI, then you would just use the Ionic.Zip.DLL.  There is a example in the documentation.

If you are using C++, and you're not doing C++/CLI, then I would advise against using DotNetZip. A better option is something like zlib - it does DEFLATE and GZIP, not zip, but you can use the minizip code in the contrib directory of the source distribubtion as an example for producing actual ZIP files.

I really like your library, but am used to using lib files when using dll's. I am not sure how to include a resource to the dll in VC++ without a lib file. I am interested in incorporating this lib to help thousands of people use it. Maybe you could give me a rundown of how to add the dll file into VC++? Thanks tons in advance. :)

I just answered your question.  Seems like you are asking it again.

I don't think you want this library.  I think you're not using VC++/CLI.

If you're doing regular C++ development then you need to use something else.

Ok. That's a shame, but thanks for the answers. :)
